Isaac Oliver Short

Label: Nature of Ornaments Recordings
Format: Various,
Country of Recording: United Kingdom,
Released: 2020,
Genre: Electronic, Experimental, Ambient.

Side A: Ceramic FM - For Plucked String Instruments, Ceramic Objects, Voices & Modular Synthesizer (Eurorack Format). Description of work: The shifting tectonics of varied timbres, attacks & resonances, emulating flickering radio channels, collated with the percussive organicity of ceramic materials. Ceramic FM is an inquiry into the creation of new expressive electronic instruments, consolidating acoustic notes, chords and objects and the contortions of said sounds using tape granulation/looping, filtering and drones. Recorded 26.09.2020 in Camden Town, London, United Kingdom.

Side B: Cotton Choir - For Choir, Lyre, Balafon, Rebec & Modular Synthesizer. Description of work: Echoes of lush choral drones - enveloped and twisted - begin to morph into instruments that float in from a distant past. A piece inspired by the process of making a light sculpture. Recorded 26.09.2020 in Camden Town, London, United Kingdom.
